The BACDT board are delighted to be launching the first online BACDT webinar.
Professor Keith Hunter has agreed to host a webinar on Oral cancer and precancer - what do I need to know? on 11th November, at 7pm (Greenwich Mean Time, GMT) on Zoom
This webinar is planned for 75 minutes, 60 minutes for the presentation and 15 minutes for a Question and Answer session at the end.
Title Oral cancer and precancer - what do I need to know?
Prompt identification and referral of patients with potentially malignant and early cancerous oral lesions is essential to limit the problems that accompany the potentially devastating diagnosis of oral cancer and to maximise survival. In this session, I will revise the underpinning knowledge of the clinical appearances, natural history and pathological features of oral cancer and the precursor lesions. The importance of appropriate referral and follow-up will be emphasised.
The learning outcomes for the session are:
• Increased knowledge and understanding of oral pre-malignancy & malignancy.
• Enhanced recognition of suspicious signs and symptoms.
• Strengthened knowledge on referral pathways and follow-up protocols.
You will earn 1 hours verified CPD from this event
